Settlement and Integration Support

Our Settlement and Integration Program provide services to help refugees and immigrants navigate the settlement and integration challenges often experienced by refugees and immigrants. These include timely, culturally competent, responsive settlement services, housing applications, household furniture support, and translation. We also inform clients on external resources that enhance their integration and facilitate adaptation.

Immigrant Outreach Society partners with Gateway, an initiative to ensure immigrants and refugees are connected to the best-fit programs and services to thrive in the City of Calgary. Our culturally informed, language-specific approach to service delivery differentiates our Settlement and integration program. Our Settlement and Integration support services are offered in Amharic, Tigrinya, Afaan Oromo, Arabic, and English. These measures allow for stronger support and understanding for clients and families.
